THE TALE OF A RIVER
The dancing river, once newborn,
Stands witness to a thousand storms;
Years and years of indifference
Makes the river languid....
The rebellious blood on the shore
watches expectantly,
But the blue river stands aloof.
Alone, it flows to some unknown sea...
The sandy bay stands witness
To a thousand years of sweat and blood,
And also to a rancid history
Marred with tears and devastating flood.
The angry river, once newborn
Ceases to inspire, ceases to fight.
The stagnant river, once newborn
Forgets to flow, stops to fight...
It's sojourn is now a sluggish walk
Though at times a spark tries its luck;
But alas the aloof river, once newborn,
Moves on, its shoulders drooped,
The fire is gone, and the heart is torn...
Do you see the river now? Once newborn?
The water is red, the void so large
The river is a stranger now
Neither dancing, nor weeping.............
Stands witness to a thousand storms;
Years and years of indifference
Makes the river languid....
The rebellious blood on the shore
watches expectantly,
But the blue river stands aloof.
Alone, it flows to some unknown sea...
The sandy bay stands witness
To a thousand years of sweat and blood,
And also to a rancid history
Marred with tears and devastating flood.
The angry river, once newborn
Ceases to inspire, ceases to fight.

Moves on, its shoulders drooped,
