I met....
Thoughts meander, and the beliefs waver,
To the inner fight, I almost surrender……….
There is a cross-way ahead, am too puzzled to select,
Not sure to choose which, and too tired to act…….
Solitude, I need you…just sit beside (me) and help me out,
Help me to perceive, guide me through,
What this realization is all about?
I went to a mosque, I went to a temple..
I sat beneath the blue sky, with time so ample…
Deep, deep ocean, vast and serene..
The distant mountain, proud and green…….
I saw a child, asleep and pure,
I saw two lovers, radiant and sure……..
I met an old man, crippled and weak,
With layers of disease, ugly and thick…
I met a mother, content and full,
Of happiness and life, like a breeze so cool…
I found a human, helping the poor,
He understood life, that’s for sure…….
I met a mind, sorted and clear,
Honesty personified, with emotions so dear…
I met the I, but it was not quite there,
(But) I brought it back home, for there is a whole journey to share…..
