Sonnet

Two hearts lived worlds apart,
Two hearts were happy playing their part..
Two hearts suddenly crossed each other,
Two hearts dared to dream together.
Two hearts entwined and lived as one,
They had each other, and cared for none.
And somewhere down the line,
Two hearts said that there is no ‘yours’ or ‘mine’.
They had to drift in the sea of life,
Though it hurt, and they were not man and wife.
And they went on alone, yet together,
No one realized, but the bond was always there..
Two hearts apart but living within each other,
That was love, to which two hearts dared to surrender…

The damp kiss by the morning dew,
The soft sunrays make me dream anew.
The floating clouds in the lap of the sky,
The garden of orchids where we lie…
Dancing stars in the twilight hours,
The soft drizzle that lusciously pours…
Your steady hand that holds my fingers,
The feel of your hug that lingers…
Your kiss on my forehead, I feel blessed,
The pair of sparrows content in their nest..
A longing that hurts, and a heart that aches,
A realization that suddenly awakes..
A feeling that makes me think of you,
Yes, this is love, I thought you already knew..
